Let's Drink!

WARNING!!!! This is a very incomplete list. I was both perhaps tipsy and did order the same drinks multiple times. I don't remember how many I missed, but you get what you get dummies.

Monday

A Very Delicious Wine

Here is my message I wrote in my notesapp while I was slightly winedrunk on this fun fun night (regrettably word for word): This is my wine. It was a good night. I have vivid memories of a recorder being played late at night and friends being broken into my room multiple times 10/10 vacation so far.

Tuesday

A Spritz on the Plane

This is exactly what it sounds like! But I will say what people say about feeling drunker on a plane is definitely true, although that might've been the 11% talking. Honestly, it was slightly sweet for my tastes but so so fantastic for a long plane ride. My friend got the espresso martini version of this and it wasn't nearly as good. These ratings are arbitrary and also potentially downright inaccurate cause I have little to no memory of most of the stuff I'm putting on here, but 8/10 solid travel companion(I'm talking about the alcohol just in case that wasn't clear).

Strawberry Daquiri?

I am 90% sure this is a strawberry daquiri although it admittedly looks slightly different to those I've had in the past. Honestly every frozen drink I had on this trip was great and so sweet I couldn't tell if there was alcohol or not. That was actually a repeated problem on this trip, where we were given virgin drinks because we weren't specific enough and had to go to the bar to add shots. Can't remember if that happened here or not but hey it was my first real vacation drink, sue me! Besides doesn't everything taste better by a pool? 9.5/10

Espresso Martini

I know for a fact this drink order was one of many. Honestly, I didn't love it though. There was a sugar rim, which I found to be pretty despicable and the espresso was kind of watery, but I had already had quite a few drinks that day (maybe more at the pool, but I know I made myself a mixed drink while getting ready in the hotel room), so I couldn't be too bothered to care. I also had some more red wine at dinner before this that I didn't get a picture of oops! It's kind of humbling to write out your spring break drinks like this. Wow, 2.5/10

Strawberry Marg

This might have been the teensiest little baby sized drink of the whole vacation. Honestly it was cute there was a whole little mini bar where the guy just made these and regular margs. Unfortunately, the regular margs were a hell of a lot better. I remember almost nothing about the taste so I assume its fine, but I remember the glass being a little annoying to drink out of and I kept getting seeds stuck in my teeth 2/10

Tequila Soda

Ironically this may have been my favorite drink of the night. The bartender was lovely and made it perfectly, plus I had a really nice buzz going at this point. Mostly though, the sugary feeling of my teeth after every other drink I had that day had me fearing that my dentist might try to beat me with one of her waterpicks the next time I see her. There were many of these to follow this one and oh boy I was happy about that 10/10

Wednesday

This day was interpersed with daquiris and pina coladas, but I have no pictures to prove it so believe me or don't ;)

A Morning Cappuccino

I had the absolute joy to wake up at 9(ish) on this beautiful and warm vacation morning, throw on a bikini and shorts over it and go down to the breakfast buffet with my friends. There may or may have not been some sunscreen application during this time. Well anyways, as we walked down we had to pass the cafe and honestly how could I resist. I felt a little better because one of my friends also got a cappuccino so they weren't all just sitting there waiting for me. I don't add sugar to my cappuccinos but the milk kept it pleasantly sweet. I like my espresso slightly more bitter, but that's pretty nitpicky. It woke me up nicely after a night out 8/10. You can also see in the background that I got green juice. This was terrible and tasted like mushed up celery 1/10

Mimosa

This mimosa came directly after breakfast. I'm pretty sure they made it with apple juice, which I haven't tried before but didn't really mind. I'm not sure if you can see in the picture, but there was also a cherry in the bottom! Why? I'm not sure. The ratio was great though they did not skimp on the prosecco, plus everything tastes better poolside. 9.2/10

Mystery Drink

I don't know what this is. This basically happened because I walked past a man with a cart who was scooping liquid out of a watermelon and I thought it looked fun. Seems to be some kind of mixed fruit juice and if there wasn't watermelon in it that feels like a crime. I'll just call it watermelon flavor even though those don't look like watermelon seeds. There was either vodka or rum in this, but I think it was rum. The sweetness in this drink was very subtle, but refreshing. Honestly I enjoyed myself, but I wouldn't drink more than one of these 6.5/10>

Red Wine

We had this wine with dinner and it tasted like just about every cheap wine. I'm not a huge fan of red wine typically, but this didn't give me an awful headache which was nice. We had a few glasses and I made the friend sitting across from me chug it with me. He almost threw up at the table, which was hilarious, but I was very proud of him for not doing it. I was wearing a very cute two piece set that vomit definitely would've ruined. 6/10 for entertainment and fun times.

Vodka Sunrise, I think

The more I think about it this is definitely a vodka sunrise. I'm having some trouble orienting myself here, but I have some confidence that's what happened. The only other thing it could be is a mai tai, we got several of those and they all looked mysteriously completely different somehow, so while I think this is a sunrise you could easily convince me otherwise. I hardly recall drinking this but it looks pretty 8/10

Thursday

Pina Colada

For some reason my camera roll is suggesting that the first drink I had this day was a pina colada with lunch as you can see from the chips and guac in the background. Seems suspicious, but I'm going to accept it without question. I'm only slightly sure I remember this. The pina coladas were good 9/10

Mai Tai

I can't tell what this is, so it's definitely a mai tai. Is this the color a mai tai is suppsed to be? This resort really asked me to expand my perspective on what could be called a mai tai, but every one that we had was very good and tasted completely different. The color looks disgusting though I will admit. Like seriously if one of my friends handed this to me I'd suspect poison 9/10

Friday

Green

This was the day we went to a really fun water park and decided to drink the rainbow. I apparently have no record of red, orange, or yellow, but trust me they happened. This was a shot and it tasted like mint. It felt absolutely horrible going down and I'd like to never do it again. I had this at the pink party, which was potentially one of the drunkest events I went to. It was fun and I looked horrendous in every picture, which I'd say is a sign of a good day 1/10 seriously guys don't drink the rainbow without specifying you like your digestive tract the way it is

...

Okay, I just realized I have no pictures of any other drinks from this day. I know I drank the rainbow and had 3 glasses of wine with dinner and then a tequila soda, but I can't prove it. Please don't call me a liar I'm trying so hard.

Saturday

To close out my trip I had a pre-flight mimosa. I potentially should have drank more because our flight got delayed three times, but why live in the past? 10/10 loved my trip.
